In a new webinar for the Security Industry Association, Interpret’s SVP of Research, Stuart Sikes, will discuss Interpret’s research findings and insights about the impact of the smart home product market on home security providers. The webinar will explore several key themes, including changing value propositions driving people to adopt smart home products. Interpret’s research indicates that convenience is now a stronger driver than home protection for a number of smart home product categories. As home security system incumbents look to defend their market shares against DIY upstarts, addressing new value propositions will be critical.
Interpret’s research also identifies the juncture on the smart home buyer journey that buyers expect products to interoperate – a key metric that smart home security providers can leverage for competitive advantage. The presentation will highlight smart home buyer segments, identifying buyers in early, intermediate and advanced stages of the buyer journey, and will reveal how brands such as Honeywell, Ring and August are engaging with each buyer segment.
The webinar, open to both SIA members and non-members, will be held on Wednesday, August 12th at 2 pm Eastern time (11 am Pacific). Click here to register.
